Teresa’s story is a testament to God’s redemptive power and faithfulness.
Early Life and Family Background
Teresa is a resilient and inspiring woman originally from Sierra Leone. Her journey through life has been marked by challenges, personal transformation, and an unwavering faith in God that has shaped her into a beacon of hope for many.
Born a twin, Teresa and her sister moved to Finland at a very young age to reunite with their father, while their mother remained in Sierra Leone. Even from a young age, Teresa felt a deep yearning for something greater—a yearning that would eventually lead her to a profound encounter with Jesus Christ.
Marriage and Family Life
In 2011, Teresa got married, and God blessed her with two beautiful children—a boy and a girl. She also has a daughter from a previous relationship. Life seemed stable and fulfilling until 2016 when her husband’s affair shattered their marriage. The betrayal broke the foundation of trust, and Teresa made the difficult decision to seek a divorce.
A Mother's Betrayal and Painful Separation
During the divorce proceedings, Teresa’s husband deceived her by claiming that his mother was gravely ill and that her last request was to see her grandchildren. Moved by compassion, Teresa allowed him to take their children to Senegal to visit their ailing grandmother. However, this act of kindness turned into a nightmare when he informed her that she would never see her children again. He returned to Finland without them, leaving Teresa devastated.
Despite her relentless efforts through legal channels and authorities, no resolution was found. Overcome with grief and pain, Teresa spiraled into unhealthy coping mechanisms, seeking solace in drinking, partying, and harmful relationships. However, witnessing the emotional toll on her daughter prompted her to cry out to God in desperation.
A Divine Encounter and Transformation
In that moment of brokenness, God revealed Himself to Teresa in a powerful encounter. His presence filled her room, overwhelming her with His holiness and love. God spoke to her heart, calling her to forgiveness and giving her the promise of Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
With this revelation, Teresa surrendered her life to God, making a covenant to serve Him wholeheartedly. From that day forward, her life was transformed. God filled her with peace and joy, empowering her to start a new chapter.
Entrepreneurship and Ministry
With renewed faith and purpose, Teresa boldly ventured into entrepreneurship. Her business became a ministry, where she shared her testimony and inspired clients with God’s love.
In 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, God called Teresa to step out in faith and open a salon. Through divine encounters and prophetic confirmations, God provided everything she needed. Her story of resilience and faith caught the attention of a major magazine, further amplifying her impact. From that small salon, God performed great miracles in her life and business.
Despite facing spiritual battles and the pain of being separated from her children, Teresa remained steadfast in her faith. God delivered her from afflictions and taught her to wear the armor of love. Her testimony became a powerful tool for ministering to others.
Theological Studies and Women’s Empowerment
In 2021, Teresa answered God’s call to Bible school, balancing her studies and business with God’s provision. She completed her theology degree and began sharing her testimony at various events. Her passion for empowering others led her to train women in hair styling, helping them gain confidence and utilize their God-given talents.
In 2022, she expanded her business by opening another salon with the vision of helping others achieve their goals.
